The Main Content of the Discussion Between the Two Sides

At the symposium, Zhang Meilin said that the China Supply and Marketing Cooperative is actively organizing the whole system to accelerate the establishment of a sound network system for the recycling and utilization of renewable resources, focusing on cultivating and strengthening leading enterprises, building standardized and standardized recycling sites, and laying out green sorting centers. He hopes that the two sides can work closely together in improving the level of resource recycling and building a resource recycling and reuse system, and jointly make positive contributions to ensuring national resource security and improving the green, low-carbon, circular development economic system.

Liu Yu said that China Resources Recycling Group focuses on serving and safeguarding national resource security, and will highlight technological innovation and standard guidance in the future. Liu Yu believes that both parties are the "national team" for implementing the development of the national circular economy, and in the future they can develop synergistically and carry out good cooperation in aspects such as unblocking the resource recycling chain. He hopes that both parties can also jointly promote the implementation of industry policies, improve the level of industry standardization, and jointly lead the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.

Supply and Marketing Cooperative: Grassroots outlets help with resource recycling

As an important organization linking urban and rural areas and serving agriculture, rural areas and farmers, the China National Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives has always played the role of "recycling and utilization of renewable resources".

The supply and marketing cooperative system has a wide range of grassroots outlets throughout cities and rural areas. In cities, its recycling outlets can go deep into the community to facilitate residents to sell various types of renewable resources; in rural areas, grassroots supply and marketing cooperatives can also collect renewable resources generated in rural areas. According to relevant reports, by the end of May this year, the supply and marketing cooperative system had 35,000 renewable resource recycling outlets.

China Recycling Resources Development Co., Ltd., a central enterprise under the China Supply and Marketing Cooperatives, was established in 1985. It is the first "national team" in the recycling market and has now grown into a leading enterprise in China's circular economy. China Recycling Co., Ltd. owns a main board listed company - China Recycling Resources and Environment (stock code: 600217) and a leading technology research and development team - Tianjin Recycling Resources Research Institute. China Recycling Co., Ltd.'s business network is distributed in 22 provinces and municipalities across the country. It has established seven major regional recycling networks in the Bohai Rim, Northeast China, East China, Central South, South China, Southwest China and Northwest China, and has built a recycling and processing business chain covering multiple categories of recycled resources such as scrap steel, scrap home appliances, recycled plastics , and scrapped cars.

Research published in the academic journal Sustainability points out that the pollution and waste output generated by the textile industry are staggering, with inefficient waste management and excessive consumption patterns standing as core pain points. Statistics show that 120 million tons of used textiles are discarded worldwide every year, yet less than 0.5% get recycled; the vast majority end up in landfills or incineration plants. Although mechanical recycling is currently the mainstream textile treatment method with relatively low costs, it struggles to process mixed fibers contaminated with dyes, coatings, finishing agents and other pollutants. Against this backdrop, Boston Consult...
