🎯 Sourcing Target

Compal Electronics is now publicly soliciting a type of filler material from the industry for modified PC/ABS alloys used in consumer electronics. The final material must meet the following requirements:

65% PCR content as carbon-reducing additive in modified PC/ABS alloys

UL94 V0 flame retardancy rating

✅ Filler derived from waste streams with verifiable carbon footprint; materials with carbon-negative potential (e.g., recycled carbon fiber reinforced materials) are preferred

✅ Overall physical properties and pricing benchmarked against Covestro FR3021 (pricing aligned with equivalent PCR loading ratios)

 

📋 Solicitation Instructions

The material must be derived from waste and come with verifiable carbon footprint data; carbon-negative options such as recycled carbon fiber reinforced materials are highly preferred. It shall serve as a filler for engineering plastics in consumer electronics to meet supply chain requirements for environmental friendliness, low carbon emissions and circularity.
