According to data from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), China Resources Chemical Materials Technology Co., Ltd. has filed a patent titled Catalyst for Alcoholysis of Waste PET, Its Preparation Method and Application.Publication Number: CN122273587A,Application Number: CN202610376275.8
According to the patent abstract, the invention discloses a catalyst for alcoholysis of waste PET as well as its preparation method and application, falling within the technical field of polymer material recycling.The catalyst is prepared via in-situ reaction using raw materials including a zinc source, urea and at least one auxiliary metal salt. The zinc source is a soluble zinc salt, and the metal element in the auxiliary metal salt is one or more selected from magnesium, manganese, aluminum, cobalt and sodium.Benefiting from the synergistic effect between urea ligands and Zn-based active centers, the catalyst can thoroughly break PET molecular chains through coordination activation and acid-base synergistic mechanisms. The addition of specific auxiliary metals optimizes the distribution of Lewis acid sites and elevates the selectivity of the target product bis(2-hydroxyethyl) terephthalate (BHET).The catalyst system featured in this application is homogeneous and transparent with excellent mass transfer performance. No neutralization treatment is required after the reaction, which avoids saline wastewater generation and toxic residues. Being environmentally friendly, the catalyst is suitable for green and high-efficiency chemical recycling of waste PET.
